HANSON DODGE WINS AT 40TH ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS

Hanson Dodge wins at the 40th Annual Telly Awards for their work for KEEN Utility and Stanley PMI.

Hanson Dodge was awarded a Bronze Telly Award in the Brand Content, General Documentary: Individual category for KEEN Utility’s digital video, “Shaping Earth.” KEEN Utility has partnered with Hanson Dodge over the past few years to grow their professional work boot line. The “Shaping Earth” video showcases the KEEN Utility sponsorship of the X-Games that Hanson Dodge helped manage by following the best dirt ramp builders in the world—highlighting the epic ramps and courses they’ve developed. This video was featured in a live campaign targeted to thousands at the Summer X-Games event with over a million watching at home.

Hanson Dodge was also awarded a Bronze Telly Award in the Social Video, Series: Products & Services category for Stanley PMI’S Timebenders series. Stanley PMI has been working with Hanson Dodge to introduce their iconic brand to a new generation of consumers without losing its strong history, heritage and longtime brand loyalists. The Timebenders series helped to launch a new campaign for the Stanley brand, leveraging its old-school aesthetic to appeal to the younger generation’s appreciation for the "classics." The campaign, "Rediscovered Since 1913," created an opportunity for Millennials to connect with the heritage of the brand in a way that fit with their modern sense of curation and discovery.

The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, production companies and streaming networks including Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Digital Media, BuzzFeed and A&E Networks. “The winners of these awards are pushing the boundaries for video and television innovation and creativity at a time when the industry is rapidly changing,” said Sabrina Dridje, Managing Director of the Telly Awards. “These awards are a tribute to the talent and vision of their creators.”

This winner’s announcement caps a year-long celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Telly Awards. Throughout 2018-2019, The Telly Awards celebrated four decades of honoring the video and television industry, whether through its inaugural international screening series or its online video interviews with industry experts. This year also saw the continued expansion of new categories further to the awards’ recent initiative to rebuild the honors for the multi-screen era. New categories included serialized Branded Content and expanded Social Video categories. Last year, The Telly Awards attracted more than 12,000 entries from top video content producers including Condé Nast, Netflix, Refinery29, RadicalMedia, T Brand Studio and Ogilvy & Mather.
