HANSON DODGE WINS AT 39TH ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS

Hanson Dodge wins at the 39th Annual Telly Awards for their work for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and KEEN Utility.

Hanson Dodge was awarded a Silver Telly Award in the Health and Wellness category for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s digital video, “Children’s Scars.” Children’s is the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The video tells the story of the annual celebration of the institution’s Herma Heart Center patients. Kids of all ages join their families and gather to celebrate life, proudly showing the scars from their incisions as symbols of their triumph over life-threatening heart conditions.

Hanson Dodge was also awarded a Silver Telly Award in the Promotional Branded Content and Campaign category for KEEN Utility’s Ambassador video series. KEEN Utility partnered with Hanson Dodge to grow the professional work boot line. The ambassador series focuses on the new generation of craftsmen and women, showing the products’ versatility and comfort on or off the job site.

HD was also awarded two Silver Telly Awards in the Corporate Image and Education Branded Content category, and a Bronze Telly Award in the Science and Technology Branded Content category for their work on the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) anthem video, "Rewriting the Future.” This video reintroduces MCW under the brand tagline “Knowledge Changing Life,” and  underscores the profound impact MCW and its people have on the lives of people in the region and around the world.

The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and it is judged by leaders from video platforms, television and streaming networks, agencies, and production companies including Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Digital Media, and BuzzFeed.

”The winners of these awards are pushing the boundaries for video and television innovation and creativity at a time when the industry is rapidly changing” said Sabrina Dridje, Managing Director of the Telly Awards. “These awards are a tribute to the talent and vision of their creators.”

This winner’s announcement caps a year-long initiative by the Telly Awards to rebuild the honors for the multi-screen era. Throughout 2017-2018 the Tellys refashioned their categories to honor the type of work being made by leading producers, including branded content, social video and animation, as well as working with industry experts to identify important industry categories where technology was playing an impactful role in the ways stories are now being told: Virtual Reality, Interactive and 360 Video. To judge all this new and innovative work, the Tellys recruited over 200 new judges, from companies such as Vimeo, Duplass Productions’ Donut, ustwo, Discovery Networks, VaynerMedia and Framestore.
