HDC AND STANDARD PROCESS WIN SOCIAL MEDIA AWARD

2014 Bull Dog Awards Winner


Hanson Dodge Creative (HDC) and Standard Process have received a 2014 Bulldog Digital/Social PR Award for Excellence in Online Communications for their “One Degree of Change” social media campaign. The award, a Silver in the “Best Social Network Messaging Strategy” category, went to their “One Degree of Change” social media campaign.

“Our ongoing partnership with Standard Process is incredibly rewarding,” HDC Director of Social Media Sarah Van Elzen said. “We are thrilled to have been highlighted for our collaborative efforts.”

The Bulldog Awards are the only online awards judged by working journalists. They recognize the most outstanding achievements in corporate communications and publicity using online and social media tools.

INSPIRING WELLNESS ONE DEGREE AT A TIME

Standard Process, a manufacturer of supplements sourced from whole foods, was looking for an engaging social media campaign for one of its most popular products, the Standard Process 21-Day Purification Program. The Purification Program revolves around nutrition and positive lifestyle changes. A companion piece to the cleanse is a cookbook that communicates how one small positive change can affect your whole life — and all together, these “Degrees of Change” can set you on a new path to wellness.

The social media team at HDC worked with Standard Process Communications Manager Karren Jeske on a content strategy that would inspire both healthcare professionals and their patients. Through the use of inspirational and engaging social media content, the campaign invited users of the 21-Day Purification Program to share personal stories via video — their “one degree of change” — for a chance to win a trip to Sonoma and other prizes. In addition to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, HDC worked with Standard Process to launch Google+, Pinterest and Instagram pages for the brand during the campaign.

After two months, the “One Degree of Change” campaign had exceeded its goals, growing Standard Process’ community size, driving engagement with the brand and increasing web traffic to StandardProcess.com
